Who I Am

I am Mohammad-Ali Nikouei Mahani, born in 1986. I am currently living in Tubingen, Germany, and finishing up my Ph.D., as a visiting researcher, at University of Tubingen.


What I Studied

While I was in high school studying Mathematics & Physics, I won the first awards in Khwarizmi festivals, the most prominent young scientists annually. I studied Computer Science during my B.Sc. at University of Kerman, and continued my education in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Shiraz University. I participated in several International and National Robocup competitions (2004 to 2008) and our team won first place in Iran Open 2007. Although I studied Robotics and AI as a Ph.D student at University of Tehran, I carried out my thesis in the field of Cognitive Science. I am currently a non-resident researcher at school of Cognitive Sciences of IPM, while finishing up my research in the cognition and perception group at University of Tubingen.
